Works under the leadership of the Team Leader and Radiology Manager to provide support to the technologists and patients of all ages. These duties must be performed in an accurate, safe, and timely manner. Delivers exemplary service to patients, physicians, and co-workers. |

JOB DUTIES |
|
1. Diagnostic / Interventional |
Processes radiographs by loading and unloading film holders and placing exposed film in the automatic processor. |
2. Inventory |
Inputs inventory requests into the computer to maintain adequate department supplies levels. Matches purchasing invoices with ordered items and places the inventory in appropriate locations. |
3. Facility Management |
Responsible for maintaining all dark room supplies, area cleanliness and QC processor data collection. |
4. Safety |
Demonstrates knowledge of safety in the work place to prevent accidents and injuries. |
5. Diagnostic / Interventional |
Provides assistance with patient care such as movement and transportation. |
6. Diagnostic / Interventional |
Assists in the Angiography Section with darkroom duties, patient care and related functions under the direction of the physician and technologist. |
7. Inventory Management |
Prepares barium mixtures and related materials as needed. |
8. Inventory Management |
Maintains adequate linen supplies for patient dressing area. |
7. Other Duties |
Performs related duties, assists others as needed and performs special assignments as necessary for the smooth operation of the department. |

4. Essential Technical / Motor Skills |
Sight and hand/eye coordination required working with various computers and handling of equipment. Standing for extended periods, walking, stair climbing, and ability to hear and interpret information and handling of equipment. |
5. Interpersonal Skills |
Good communication skills. Ability to interact with individuals for staff cooperation and patient/family communication. Able to care/communicate with patients of all ages. Compassionate friendly, and patient when dealing with patient and others. |
6. Essential Physical Requirements |
Lifting, handling supplies up to 40 pounds, helping patients off/on stretcher, escorting and supporting patients, stooping and bending while using appropriate body mechanics. |

Mental concentration, mathematical comprehension, innovative problem solving abilities. |
8. Essential Sensory Requirements |
Good vision, good hearing and sense of touch. High level of short-term memory |
9. Exposure to Hazardous Substances |
Patient care environment, infectious diseases and body fluids, processor chemicals, ionizing radiation. |

Primarily day shift; however, other shifts may be required. |
